Part-time/Substitute Afterschool Instructor

La Scuola International School is looking to hire a part-time/substitute after school instructor as part of our growing after school program at our K-8 Campus. After school instructors are energetic and engaged individuals who are interested in facilitating a safe, fun, and collaborative environment with both children and co-instructors.

 

Essential Duties

 Leading and participating in games and activities

 Monitoring behavior both in a classroom and outside

 Planning and implementing special activities

 Responding to incidents and emergency situations quickly and calmly

 Enforcing school policies and safety regulations

 

Qualifications

 Previous experience working with children required

 

Required Skills

 Italian language proficiency preferred but not a requirement

 Enthusiastic, child-oriented, and creative individuals with a desire to work in a bilingual environment

 Problem solving, creativity, multitasking skills

 Excellent attendance and punctuality records

 

Hours are flexible.  Mondays, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 3:00-6:15pm and Wednesdays from 2:00-6:15pm. Schedule flexibility is a requirement for applicants.

Pay depends on experience. This position also has the opportunity for career growth in the field of education. Experience with children is a must, experience working in a school a plus, experience teaching another language in a bilingual setting is a bonus.

 

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Final candidate will need to pass Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance, Physical Exam and TB Test
