Support K8 Teacher (part-time)
La Scuola International School is seeking an enthusiastic, part-time Support Teacher at our K-8 Campus. The role of the Support Teacher is to help in the Kindergarten classroom, and other classrooms if needed, in addition to providing supervision of students during recess and lunch. The Support Teacher will assist Head and Assistant Teachers with the implementation of a quality program that enriches the students intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. The Support Teacher will maintain a safe and educational learning environment for children by successfully implementing the K-8 curriculum and daily program activities. The Support Teacher is a team player, a great communicator and embodies the International Baccalaureate Learner Profile and the values and mission of La Scuola.
Italian language proficiency strongly preferred
Enthusiastic, child-oriented, and creative individuals with a desire to work in a bilingual environment
Problem-solving, creativity, multitasking skills
Excellent attendance and punctuality records
Experience with IB a plus
Teaching the K-8 curriculum and programs
Maintaining a high sense of professionalism at all times
Supervising lunch and outdoor play
Leading group activities
Assisting children with day to day needs
Maintaining a clean environment
A minimum of a BA, or Child Development Certificate, or 5+ years experience working with children required
Previous experience working with children
The position is part-time, 9:30am - 3pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, with the potential for increased hours. Pay depends on experience. This position has the opportunity for career growth in the field of education.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Final candidate will need to pass Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance, Physical Exam and TB Test.
