K-5 Teachers (2019-2020)
La Scuola International School is seeking an experienced, passionate and highly-skilled elementary school teacher for our 2019/20 school year.
We are an IB accredited school in San Francisco, California, offering a K-8 Italian immersion program. We are particularly interested in teachers with experience in the IB-PYP. Applicants should be able to teach an inquiry-based curriculum, be strong team players and be very proactive and flexible. Final candidates need to be prepared for a teaching demonstration (or a video if they are overseas).
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education; Master’s degree highly desirable
Minimum of 3 years’ experience teaching in K-5 grade level, preferably in an immersion program
Bilingual and bi-literate in Italian and English with native or near-native Italian proficiency
Problem solving, creativity, excellent multitasking skills, and ability to thrive in a start-up environment are a must
Required Skills and Pre-requisites:
Fluency in reading, writing and speaking in English/Italian
Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as outstanding interpersonal skills
Problem solving, creativity, multitasking skills
Ability to thrive in a start-up environment
Strong teaching ability; enjoy working with children and adolescents
Ability to work well with students and colleagues; willingness to be an active, enthusiastic member of the La Scuola community
Obvious passion for the academic subject matter being taught

Excellent attendance and punctuality
You must be authorized to work in the USA.
Final candidate will need to pass Criminal Justice Department and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance, Physical Exam, TB Test and other immunization requirements.
Pay will be depend on qualifications and experience.
