Approved: K-2 Returns to Fell Campus on Sept. 30
Dear La Scuola Community,
I am excited to announce that last night we received approval from the San Francisco Department of Public Health to reopen our Fell Street Campus for Grades K-2.
Our first day of on-campus learning at our Fell Campus for our students in grades K-2 will be Wednesday, Sept. 30.
At this time, the earliest we anticipate a potential start date for on-campus learning at our Mission Campus in Grades 3-5 is Wednesday, Oct. 14 and for Grades 6-8 is Wednesday, Oct. 28. These days will be finalized after we complete our inspection of the Mission Campus on Thursday, Oct. 1. This is a planned Department of Public Health has mandated that we stagger our reopening dates for in-person learners in Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8.
Specific details about our K-2 return, including schedules, will be shared with families in the Division Head message this Sunday. Details about the return of students in Grades 3-8 will be shared after our SFDPH site visit next week. For families who will remain in Distance Learning, you will be hearing from us later today about your cohort and teacher assignments.
As we begin to transition back to in-person learning, our primary focus will be the health and safety of our students, families, and employees. Our faculty and staff have been preparing for this return since summer and we are confident that through our collective efforts, it will be a smooth transition back to campus. Please take a moment to review our Community Pledge and the commitment we have all made to follow safe and healthy practices, especially as we prepare to return.
We have missed your children greatly and we are very excited to welcome them back to campus. Thank you for your patience and partnership as we move forward with the reopening.
