K-2 Returns to Fell Campus
Buongiorno La Scuola,
Welcome back on campus to our K-2 staff, families, and children, and a good first day of remote learning to our at-home families as well.
There is a lot of joy and the campus is electric today. There were tears of joy at drop-off and we are so thankful for the trust you put in us, our faculty, and staff. It is so wonderful to hear the children’s noises and laughter. We have already had our first outdoor class and it’s a very exciting day. For those of you at home, I hope things are going well. Please keep in touch and hopefully, when the time is right, we can welcome you back as well.
We might be the first school to open in San Francisco. But that’s not really what matters. What matters is that we do it right. This has been a long time coming and I am so thankful to our faculty and staff for working tirelessly to get to this day. Here we are, it’s here and it’s beautiful, sunny, and we are so excited to come all this way. It was a long journey but it was worth it.
Other exciting news, we are going to have our inspection for the Mission Campus tomorrow for our Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8 programs. Fingers crossed that goes well, as everybody is working there now, and hopefully, we can welcome everybody back in the next month. It’s probably a couple of weeks at the earliest for Grades 3-5 and probably a month for Grades 6-8.
With that, have a great day. Thank you for your kind words this morning at the curb. Please know that they were much appreciated and I will report them all back to your teachers in the classroom. Have a wonderful day.
Valentina Imbeni, Ph.D.
