Neurodiveristy
At La Scuola International School, we believe every child learns in their own unique way.
Rooted in the Reggio Emilia Approach and supported by the International Baccalaureate framework, our classrooms are designed to encourage curiosity, inquiry, and multiple ways of thinking. This approach naturally allows us to meet students at many levels and to celebrate the rich neurodiversity of our entire community and the 100 Hundred languages of children.
Supporting our Students
La Scuola uses a Tier 1 and Tier 2 support model, which means we rely on strong classroom teaching (Tier 1) and small-group or targeted supports (Tier 2) to meet all student needs and to support differentiated learning.
Within this structure, our practices help us to:
- Embed support into everyday classroom life
- Differentiate for those who need support and those ready for deeper challenge
- Help students make the most of their strengths and learning profiles
- Ensure all learners can access robust academics in both Italian and English
We partner closely with families and specialists to support the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and linguistically.
At La Scuola International School, diverse ways of learning are celebrated; they let every child contribute their unique perspective to our community and the world.
