Continuous Learning Plan - Preschool
Friday, July 24, 2020
Dear Preschool Parents,
It is with pleasure that we welcome you and your little ones to school on Monday, August 4, at our Dogpatch Campus, 728 20th St.
A new journey begins for your children, full of stimuli, smiles, and friends. Inclusion in preschool represents an important step towards autonomy and socialization. The school is a miniature community and as such presents all the dynamics that make it an important place of growth and great achievements.
The preschool is a place where children can have fun and carry out activities aimed at promoting the development of fine motor skills, imagination, language, reasoning, understanding spatial / temporal / causal relationships, of fine motor skills, of symbolization, as well as promoting socialization.
Entering school is a crucial stage in this process when the child passes from an almost exclusive iteration with the "primary family group" to a new relationship with a wider community which, through the development of interpersonal relationships, will lead to the maturation of behavior within the socio-cultural context. In other words, your child’s preschool journey undertakes the construction of their social being by developing new skills, knowledge, feelings, and behaviors that will enable him to participate in social life.
We will share with you all the information on Monday with our “First Day Of School Email” which includes information like drop-off and pick-up, daily routines, items to bring, and much more.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this message and we look forward to seeing you during a Virtual Q&A or on the first day of school.
