Marketing & Communications Manager

La Scuola International School is a vibrant Preschool - 8th Grade international community with a focus on inquiry-based learning, creative expression and language immersion.  We are an IB accredited, Italian-immersion school serving Preschool - 8th Grade.

La Scuola International School seeks an experienced Marketing & Communications Manager for the 2019-20 Academic Year.

Role Summary

The Marketing and Communications Manager reports to and supports the work of the Director of Admissions, collaborates with the Director of Advancement, Director of Administration and Head of School.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 Manage brand messaging across all communications channels, both internally and externally 

 Data-driven marketing 

 Manage marketing budget

 Conduct communications audit(s) 

 Develop and manage a communications calendar across all school constituents

 Website management and content updates

 Video production experience

 Photo and video documentation of school and related events

 Strong written communications across various channels including but not limited to blog posts, website, email marketing, social media, and newsletters

 Strategic social media driving enrollment, re-enrollment and philanthropy

 Create collateral such as brochures, viewbooks, presentation boards, flyers, postcards, newsletters and event invitations both in print and online

 Bring current strategies and insights to marketing materials across languages and cultures

 Volunteer management

 Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent

 4+ years of experience in marketing and communications preferred

 Proficiency in all relevant software

 Proven track record in data-driven marketing

 Working knowledge of graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator a plus)



Pay commensurate with experience

Location: San Francisco (3 campuses in Mission, Dogpatch, and Alamo Square)

Commitment: Full Time

La Scuola is San Francisco’s first IB-PYP School and the first Reggio - IB Italian Immersion program in the world.  We are currently implementing the IB Middle Years Program as MYP candidate school. 

Founded in San Francisco in 2002 as La Piccola Scuola Italiana, we have grown from a small playgroup of Italian-American and Italian families to a thriving International community of over 240 families from preschool through 8th grade (in the 2019-20 school year).
