Mission Campus Reopens & Community Health Update

Wednesday, October 14, 2020

Buongiorno La Scuola,

It’s another special day as we open our Mission Campus and welcome back our 3rd through 5th grades. If you hear some background noise it is them, and it’s so wonderful to have this campus come back to life.

We heard music from Maestro Carlo, students have been engaging in math and Italian, PE, and many the activities they are able to do while on campus. We know there have been some challenges with our distance learners and we are working on finding a solution so they can participate, they can hear better, and see better. Stay tuned for some improvements, we didn’t think we would have to pivot so quickly.

I’m very grateful to our wonderful faculty and staff who have really set the tone for a great first day at school. They are all working so hard, so thank you so much. From a parent to a parent, I want to make sure you share some of that love with our faculty because they are supporting our students and all of us.

I also want to touch base on the email we sent last night about the Covid case at our Fell Street Campus. We knew this was going to happen and so I want to reassure you that we are prepared and we are in communication with the Health Department. As a precaution, we ask siblings to stay home but we will be sharing communication about that very soon, so stay tuned.

This makes we want to remind you that we are all in this together. Please continue to be respectful, empathetic, withhold judgment, and speculation. Everyone is doing their best and I think everybody at La Scuola wants the family and the community to be safe, so let’s stick together. If you have any questions or you are worried, please reach out to us and we are here for you.

With that, have a great day and we will see you very soon.

Ciao Ciao!
