Children running onto the soccer court

Our Kinder kids ceremoniously kicked off the opening of the soccer court in the Mission Campus Yard this week. It's a very exciting moment as we continue to open more parts of the yard for student use. Our Facilities Director, Elisa, welcomed the children with a countdown! The court features soft padding under the turf to provide a squishy space for fun. The space opens in time for the first day our K-8 move to Mission on Monday, November 28.

Move over 2020 Euro Cup Winners, the Dragons are Coming for You! Big shoutout to Coach Mike Ackrell, Papa di Bellamy (Grade 3 Aranconi) for coaching the team during the entire pandemic. The team (mixed 3rd and 2nd graders) have been kicking the ball around every Wednesday at the Marina Green (mask and all) for the last year. As La Scuola advocates for safe neighborhoods and school zones, we invited San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin to visit the Mission Campus this week to understand the critical message we are sharing. Valentina, Head of School, and Dani, Director of Administration, met with Boudin, as well as Cecily Brewster, Assistant District Attorney (also pictured), and Kasie Lee, Assistant District Attorney and Interim Chief of Victim Services Division.
