ADMISSIONS CONSIDERATION

La Scuola does not use a ranked wait pool but rather considers a variety of factors in admission decisions including:

 Gender and diversity balance

Affinity with the Reggio Emilia and International Baccalaureate approach to learning

Use of Italian at home (a small group of Italian speakers supports non-native speakers)

A child’s age and current developmental range of the class

Siblings of current families receive preference

 Timely submission of application

Attendance at open house and parent interview

LICENSING

La Scuola is a licensed childcare center under Title 22 rules and regulations. Our facility, program, and staff have been formally inspected and approved by the State of California licensing agency.

Pursuant to California law, each child younger than 2 years old and participating in the Spazio Gioco Play Group must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who remains present for the duration of each session. Nannies, sitters, and non-parent family members may accompany a child if a notarized guardianship form has been provided. No shared-care arrangements are allowed. Please contact our director for more information.
